PAKISTAN, MULTAN:Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has reiterated on Saturday that India has no option other than to hold talks with Pakistan for resolution of long-lingering dispute between both the countries.

” Pakistan and India are nuclear armed nations therefore it is vital that both should come at table of talks for long-lasting peace in the region”, Qureshi said on Saturday while talking to media men.

Pakistan always intended to have cordial relations with India and we want India should come forward and hold composite dialogue with us, he said.

Answering to a question, he said, it was India who stalled talks with Pakistan and in such circumstances backdoor channel talks are out of question. Without using front door no one can use backdoor channel, he said.

Replying to a question, he said, India would have to come at table of talks. The Foreign Minister hoped that the composite dialogue between both countries would be reviewed soon. Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is also facing internal resistance in holding talks with Pakistan, he said. Some Indian forces did not want revival of talks with Pakistan, Qureshi said.

He asked India to change its Policy towards Pakistan. When asked about his upcoming visit to Bhutan, he said, he would hold talks with his Indian counterpart there. Earlier, addressing the convocation, he said, today we are facing terrorism and extremism but our armed forces have dismantled them. We are trying to hold international Sufi conference in Pakistan and we would also invite scholars around the world, he said.

The first session of Sufi conference would be held in Multan and second in Afghanistan, he said. He said Saudi Arabia and United States of America (USA) favour dialogue between Pakistan and India. Kashmir and water issue would be taken up before India after revival of talks, he said, adding that, dispute between Pakistan and India would be resolved through dialogue.
