Case against 13 dead persons for opium farming

In Bihar, “dead” persons have been doing opium farming, or at least so believe the state police.
Strange though it may sound but the police in Bhojpur district of Bihar have registered a case against 13 dead persons for being involved in opium farming prohibited by the govenrment.
Villagers said the accused persons have died many years back - three of them having passed away more than 20 years back!
Acting on an information that villagers of Kutubpur Dera village are engaged in opium farming, the police raided the areas and hurriedly filed cases against 17 persons, including 13 of them dead.
The police had raided the village on March 7 during which it confiscated opium worth crores of rupees.
