Interpol issues red warrants of US citizens held in Pakistan

PAKISTAN, SARGODHA: An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) of Pakistan adjourned the hearing of case in respect of arrested US citizens till 6 May while Interpol has issued red notices (warrants) in respect of accused persons. .
Judge Mian Anwar Nazir of ATC Sargodha division resumed the hearing of arrested US nationals including Rami, Zam Zam, Aman Yamir, Omar Farooq, Waqar Hassan Khan and Abdullah on Tuesday in district Jail Sargodha.
Stringent security measures were taken during the hearing and police and elite force had encircled jail premises.
The witnesses including incharge cyber crime Sargodha Muzaffar Hussain Shah, CMO Malik Usman, investigation officer Nazir Hussain recorded their statements during the hearing.
The defence counsels cross questioned the witnesses. Cantt police presented in the court computers, CDs, Email record and other goods recovered from the possession of US citizens.
A delegation of US consulate was also present in the jail during the hearing and the delegation met the detained US nationals after the hearing.
Well placed sources told on Tuesday that Interpol had issued red warrants of the US citizens after their contact with US authorities. These warrants would soon be received in Sargodha Jail through interior ministry.
