Police in Bihar have arrested five politicians who took “bear bath” on the street to celebrate “total success” during Tuesday’s shutdown against price rise.
Police said the arrested leaders brought five cartons of beers to take “beer bath” on a national highway near Manersharif in Patna.
“We have information that the protestors brought beer bottles and took a bath with them on the road. We have arrested five persons so far”, a local police official Awadhesh Kumar said today.
The case was lodged on the order of Patna’s senior superintendent of police Amit Kumar Jain.
Strangely, the call for shutdown had been given to protest against price rise.
