Cops: Conn. high school coach gave students vodka
SOUTHBURY, Conn. — A Connecticut girls basketball coach was charged with giving alcohol to students before a school dance. Jennifer Jackson, 32, a coach and teacher at Pomperaug High School was charged Wednesday with delivering alcohol to minors and reckless endangerment.
Police said Jackson gave vodka to two members of the girls basketball team before a Feb. 6 dance. She also faces a pending case in which she was charged earlier this month with procuring alcohol for minors one day earlier.
Jackson, who has been placed on administrative leave, was arraigned Wednesday and released on $2,500 bond. She returns to court June 9.
Her attorney, Kerry Gleason, declined to comment.
