Police: Woman with fake SUV plate parks at NY DMV
EAST GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Police say a woman who parked her SUV at a Department of Motor Vehicles office on New York’s Long Island had a fake license plate and was arrested.
Nassau County police say the woman owns an auto body shop in Rockville Centre and lives in Malverne, just east of New York City. They say she parked at the DMV in East Garden City on Tuesday afternoon and a DMV inspector saw her SUV and recognized its obviously forged license plate.
Police tracked down the woman and arrested her.
She’s charged with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument. Her arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday.
