PROVIDENCE (GaeaTimes.com)- A yellow lobster which has been spotted at the Narragansett Bay of Rhode Island has caught the attention of many researchers across the United States. It has been reported that a lobster of this species has not been seen by the people of Rhode Island in the recent past and that such a variety is indeed very rare in the waters of Providence. The yellow lobster looks golden from the top and bright yellow from both its sides and scientists say that such features in a lobster are indeed very rare.

The yellow lobster was first spotted by Denny Ingram, a resident of Providence during his lobster hunting escapades in the East Passage of the Narragansett Bay. Since the lobster has been termed as a very rare species, he will be safe from the torture that would otherwise be implicated on it by us humans. The yellow lobster must be happy that it will not land up on anyone’s dinner plates!

Researchers claim that such genetic features in a lobster are to be seen among one in thirty million of the water insect and that is chiefly the reason why the researchers have decided to preserve the yellow lobster first obtained by Denny Ingram from Rhode Island. According to the latest reports from the United States island, the yellow lobster will find his pride of place at the fishermen’s co-operative at the State Pier in Newport. The researchers have warned the American natives that the lobster is not made of gold, a warning perhaps issued to stop any adventurous person from killing the rare lobster specimen!
