PARIS, FRANCE (GaeaTimes.com)- A man has nabbed a goldfish, that weighs the same as an average 3 year old girl, from a lake France. The 30 lb orange koi carp and the fisherman Raphael Biagini have become a rage on the web after the photos of the catch have emerged. The fisherman revealed that he caught the fish moments after discussing with his fellow anglers about the legend of the elusive giant goldfish. Though some argue that the photos might be fake, marine experts have explained that giant carps are quite common in the area with the biggest catch weighing a whopping 90 lb.

Raphael Biagini, the fisherman who caught the giant goldfish, recounted that when fishing he did know what was at the end of the line. He added that he and his fellow fishermen realized that it was something big but could not expect that it would be the giant goldfish that the anglers in the area have been trying to catch for six years now. Raphael Biagini, however, quickly let the fish go back to water after clicking the photo with it. One photo expert has explained that no aspect of the photograph indicates that the image was modified.

Some skeptics have called the photo of the giant goldfish fake, arguing that the fish looks much heavier than 30 lb. They have also felt that Raphael Biagini appears as if he is holding something weighing around 2lb. In spite of the arguments against its authenticity, the giant goldfish and the fisherman have been a hot search on the web.
