SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- It has been reported that the story of the student who got rejected by Harvard University a few days back is nothing but a rumor, and that there is no authenticity whatsoever in the whole story. This possibility might have been brushed off had it not been for the nature of the status message itself. The language of the status message itself is way too much blatant and also rather too vulgar to believe that a would be student would have posted such stuff about his alma mater. This is the strongest clause that plays testimony to the fact that the status update rejected from Harvard story is all a rumor.

On the other hand, the story does manage to drive one fact home, that is, the possibility that the universities are indeed checking the status messages of the hopefuls who sit for the respective entrance tests. In another incident that was related by Noah, one of the principals in the status update gets student rejected from Harvard story, a student received a rejection letter instead of an acceptance letter after the authorities found out that he had posted some drunken pictures of himself in his Facebook page.

In the Harvard incident, one of the students, identified as Jacob in the tabloids, had posted the news of making it through Harvard university. However, in his elation, he apparently forgot to be respectful enough, and wrote in quite a derogatory fashion about the University he hoped to enter, and he was not cautioned even after one of his friends, Noah, warned him of the possible consequences, which resulted in his status update getting him rejected from Harvard.
