Gator gets meal as Ariz suburb gathers dead fish

TEMPE, Ariz. — For a hungry alligator, it’s bon appetit.

Hundreds of fish that died when a dam burst and dried up a lake in this Phoenix suburb are being fed to the gator Friday.

The fish were left to die in shallow pools once the dam broke and sent most of the water into a dry riverbed.

A crew was hired to come in and scoop up the fish and feed them to the 6-foot, bred-in-captivity alligator in a parking lot Friday.
